Washington Oaks State Park Engagement Session

Scheduling a July engagement shoot around Jacksonville Florida is one tough cookie-- we really got lucky with the weather. Brooke and I kept on texting each other back and forth. The forecast stated 30% chance rain, 0% chance rain, 60% chance rain, and then again 30% chance rain. Who else checks the weather as meticulously as I do? Anyways, we took the chance and drove out to Palm Coast, FL, and we really got lucky-- oh, the power of prayer! It was hot, but it was really beautiful and sunny. Washington Oaks State Park and Beach is a big gem in a small location. Wished it was a little bit closer....

Anyways, these two are SO sweet, so kind, and so in love. I hope you enjoy the photos just as much as I enjoyed this session!

Such a GORGEOUS celebration, an awesome reception, great music, talented DJ (the BEST EVER....check him out),  and such a fun couple made the best event last weekend. It sparkled in their aqua blue with a hint of red themed wedding. I was sooo glad that it just sprinkled a little outside after their ceremony. You know the saying--rain is good luck. Jonathon and Paige's wedding couldn't be even more perfect. This bride has skills-- she did her own hair and make up among other details at the wedding. And the reception party--oh the reception party... I haven't quite seen one like this before. They know HOW TO party. You'll see. The band was pretty awesome, too. This was probably one of the most gorgeous home planned weddings I've photographed. Brett and Sarah got married on the property of the groom's family's yard-- and boy was it a huge yard.

Sarah, an elementary school teacher, avidly pinterests. Most of their decor were handmade by them. Oh, and have I mentioned that Fatbacks catered their event? Yum! Only one of the best ribs and BBQ in the south.
