A 2013 Review
In memory of Alton Jefferson. One of the greatest assistants I've ever
met. He was respectful, hard working, and positive. He always made sure
that I looked in the good, and one of the last things he made sure of in
his life is to have some pictures with his family. This guy really
loved what he did, and I am glad to have met him. What a poetic ending.
The last session of 2013 turned out to be the last time I saw him.
This year will never be forgotten. We've lost people close to us, and a lot (A LOT) of our families grew. Being a photographer is an emotional job by capturing vital parts of a human's life. I get a chance to be there and see people before even giving birth, shortly after bringing a new child into this life, watching children grow within their first year, and people joining in marriage. I thank all of my clients for trusting me to capture this and making me a part of your lives.

DJ and Jen's wedding
Hearing from Jen and DJ about their wedding got me pretty hyped. I've known them for a while, so this was a pretty big event for me. I would have never imagined that I'd be photographing the wedding of this girl I had a sleepover with and watched anime 13 years ago, particularly Marmalade Boy. This bride has gotten me in to all sorts of anime. Thank her for the large collection I have at home. Focusing on the moments of the day and working behind the camera was quite exhilirating, but both families of the bride and groom are so photogenic--it's hard to go wrong.
I worked with some really amazing vendors during this event. I wanted Joel Eusebio (Jogo Productions, http://vimeo.com/jogoproductions) to capture my wedding, but working alongside his crew was just as awesome. Also, kudos to Rizalina Smith who did a miracle..centerpieces, wedding planner, and hair artist..oh and bridal boquet. Great job! I am crazy for sweets, too. When I heard her cake is from White Windmill, I started salivating. Their cakes are soo fluffly and light. If you drive by the Norcross, GA area, make sure to pass by this bakery!
Enjoy!

Abby and Andre | Nocatee Crosswater Hall | Ponte Vedra, FL Wedding
I'd say Florida has been very good to me. Ponte Vedra's Crosswater Hall
is such a gorgeous place, and Andre and Abby tied the knot with some
excellent details.
First let me start off with their wedding planners Megan Long and Marian Eichholz of Paragon Planning ( http://www.paragon-planning.com)-- already weeks before the event they were checking in with me and asked if I had any unanswered questions. They were friendly, detailed, and very professional. If you are looking for a wedding planner-- make sure to check them out.
The flowers were already there way before the ceremony. Thank you Susan Kass and Amy ( http://www.afantasyinflowers.com). I must also applaud the make-up artists and hair stylist of Fifth Avenue Mobile ( http://www.fifthavenuehair.com) and Teresa Nguyen who owns To The Nines (make-up for girls and mother). They were ahead of schedule, and if you're a wedding photographer, you'll know how important being on time is. They did an excellent job--just see the photos for yourself. Along our sides, we worked with Kimberly and Kyle. They're very friendly, communicative, and easy to work with. Thank you Kyle for lifting up that flash when I was too short to put it in place! Among these vendors, the food was excellent, cake gorgeous, and dresses to die for! And I must not forget, thank you Miguel for second shooting with me-- you did great catching the groom's expression during the first look, and then again when the bride walked down the aisle. Moments like that are priceless, and you captured it well!
Job well done, and congratulations Abby and Andre! We loved being there on your big day.
